Putting the “High” in High Chair Outstanding 18th C. Delaware Valley high chair with canted posts and a back of three double-arched slats. Maple slats, posts, and serpentine arms, very old, possibly original splint seat, all in a richly oxidized blue that appears to be its first and only surface. 43”H. Ca. 1740-1780. 18th C. furniture in untouched paint is rare; a mid-18th C. high chair in original blue is an extreme rarity.
