Description: SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA PAINTED RIB-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT BASKET, white oak, kidney form with double rim, arched handle with complex stepped supports, and fancy woven-over base rib. Outstanding original dry blue-painted surface. Late 19th/early 20th century. 10" HOA, 7" H rim, 10" x 10 1/4" rim. Excellent condition with no breaks or losses.
